Blessed are the Meek

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5

“But the wicked will be cut off from the earth, and the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.”
Proverbs 2:22

“9 For the evildoers shall be cut off,
but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land.

10 In just a little while, the wicked will be no more; though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there.

11 But the meek shall inherit the land
and delight themselves in abundant peace.”  Psalm 37:9

“But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite servant and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they jeered at us and despised us and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?

Then I [Nehemiah, of Israeli blood] replied to them, “The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build, but you have no portion or right or claim in Jerusalem.”

Nehemiah 2:19-20

Notice who does NOT have a claim to Jerusalem according to the prophet and word of God!

“34 Wait for the LORD and keep his way,
and He will exalt you to inherit the land;
you will look on when the wicked are cut off.”  Psalm 37

Jesus Christ will return!

Yahweh’s Throne

“At that time Jerusalem will be called, Yahweh’s Throne, and all the nations will be gathered to it, to the name of Yahweh in Jerusalem. They will cease to follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts.”  Jeremiah 3:17

“But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard it, they mocked us and despised us and said, “What is this thing you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?”  Nehemiah:  “Then I replied to them, ‘The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build, but you have no portion or right or claim in Jerusalem.'” Nehemiah 2:19-20

“3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when He fights on a day of battle. 4 On that day His feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. 5 And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the Holy Ones with Him.”  Zechariah 14

“And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.”  Zechariah 14:12

“Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths.”  Zechariah 14:16

“and give Him no rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.”  Isaiah 62:7

“I Have Loved You”

I was sick and getting sicker.   On May 22, 2015, it culminated in a stroke.   Thankfully, my husband was home.   It could’ve been that he was at the office that day, but I wanted to go to the emergency room.   I got out of the shower, and then I had the stroke.

Being at the hospital seven days, there was plenty of opportunity to do a thoughtful contemplation.  I really wondered what was going on.   I didn’t hear the Lord.  I wondered why I didn’t hear the Lord.   Day after day in the hospital, I lay and I didn’t hear the Lord.

But His Holy Spirit in me, rose up and I prayed in the Spirit.   Now, that was something!   I did have the Holy Spirit and He prayed through me.   It was an awesome moment, awesome in that I could barely speak.   When you have a stroke, you don’t talk.   My natural language, though I could think straight, was not coming out.   Yet, I could pray in tongues.     This was marvelous to me.

The speech did not affect, for the most part, my singing.   I came home and started to play the piano and sing, a little rough at first.

But I was back in the hospital within a week, not a stroke, but the other incident that led me into the stroke, a condition known as ulcerative colitis.    They once again told me, because I have had this before, that I would have to have my large intestines taken out.  That didn’t happen.  I finally discovered what was the problem.   We live in a chemical world, and that is one reason so many people have gastrointestinal problems!    I had unknowingly chewed gum ever day that includes sorbitol, a known irritant to gastrointestinal problems.   If they would feed us food, we might do better medically!

My prognosis was to see if medicines could alleviate my condition.   After six days in the hospital, I was home with a ton of medicine to take.

I sang to the Lord and read portions of Scripture.  Finally, I heard from Him.  I was about to close the piano and go.   But I heard the Lord Jesus Christ saying to write a song.

“This is my song to you.  And you will sing it before crowds of people.  Yet I will come to you and sing it personally.  This is my song to you.”

I sat down and immediately wrote,  “I have loved you.  I have loved you with an everlasting love.”   Ah, sweetness!   God was speaking His love for me!  “With an everlasting love”!

A month later of my last hospital visit, on July 5th, 2015, I was back to lead worship at church.  A little hesitant, but they prayed for me and I made it through.

And it amazed people that I could lead worship at our annual conference in July 24-26.   If you got into a real lengthy discussion with me, I was a little less than coherent, but that was not the point.  At the end of the conference, I played my song, “I Have Loved You”.

God allowed this.   He did it to prove that the devil is a liar.   I was supposed to have started full-time as music minister in the beginning of June.   I couldn’t.   But I was determined to play because that is my calling.  I started a little late … but with God on time!  God was just going to show what He could do with me.   To God be the glory!

God allowed this.   God used this to show me how much my husband loved me.    He really does!   He struggled almost to the point of exhaustion through my weeks of illness, visiting me at the hospital, helping me with my medication.   And with a job to boot!

The love of Christ was extended to me.   My husband and all my children were there.  My sister and her clan came in from California.  My church was there, some ministers of the Lord, and even some people I didn’t see often were there.

“God allowed this,”  a prophet of God told me.   “You have not cursed God.”  And I hadn’t.

I Have Loved You

I have loved you; I have loved you
With an everlasting love
I have loved you; I have loved you
With an everlasting love

I have saved you; I have saved you
With an everlasting love
I have saved you; I have saved you
With an everlasting love

Who can separate us from the love of Christ!
Who can keep us apart?
Who can separate us from the love of Christ!
Yes, you have stolen my heart!

I have loved you; I have loved you
With an everlasting love
I have loved you; I have loved you
With an everlasting love

The breadth, length, height and depth beyond conception
Of the love lavished on us
To know the love of Christ that exceeds perception,
His love so boundless! His love so boundless!
His love so boundless!

I have loved you; I have loved you
With an everlasting love
I have loved you; I have loved you
With an everlasting love

Many waters cannot quench love,
Neither floods drown it, too.
Christ gave Himself up, up for love,
A fragrant offering, a sacrifice … for you.

And I love you! And I love you! And I love you! And I love you!

The Third Day Church

AfterTwoDays3 copy

2 Peter 3

“3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 4 They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, 6 and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. 7 But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!

13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.”

I’m putting this up for discussion as the movie “Left Behind” is released.   As I read the Scriptures, straight from the Word of God, I can’t see how the popular timeline that Christians are out of here BEFORE the tribulation is validated by Scripture.   How do we get around these Scriptures?   Someone PLEASE give me a Scripture that shows absolutely something different, please if you can.   Popular opinion is not infallible.  The Scripture is infallible.  The Scripture is truth.  I’m not looking for any arguments but would just like a Scripture as I have provided the Scriptures here:

SCRIPTURE: “For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep [died]. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”  (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18)

SCRIPTURE:  “But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when He comes, those who belong to Him.” (1 Cor 15:23)

BELIEVERS RISE (resurrected)

SCRIPTURE:  “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.”  (1 Cor 15:52)

THEN OTHER BELIEVERS RISE (“be changed”/rapture)

SCRIPTURE:  “1Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, 2not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.” (2 Thess 2)

MAN OF LAWLESSNESS REVEALED (abomination of desolation),

SCRIPTURE: Matthew 24

Putting all these Scripture together, this is what seems plain:

tribulation THEN

antichrist revealed (abomination of desolation)  THEN

great tribulation  THEN

Christ returns with trumpet blast  THEN

the dead in christ THEN

we who are alive  THEN

So shall we ever be with the LORD!   HalleluYAH!
